Black cardamoms are used in the same manner as green cardamom but differs in flavor. Its smoky flavor and aroma derives from traditional methods of drying over open flames. India is the 2nd largest producer after Nepal. Black cardamom, by contrast, is better for hearty meat stews and similar dishes. It is also used in making soups, garam masala, desserts. It is rich in vitamins, nutrients and minerals.
